In the blink of an eye, December has arrived, and the countdown to 2024 has begun. Looking back at the past November, many noteworthy events occurred.
Life#
At the beginning of the month, I accompanied my wife to take the civil service exam for the second half of the year, but unfortunately, I forgot about my own retake exam. By the time I realized this, it was already the second day after the exam. After asking the teacher, I learned that the only solution was to delay my graduation by a year. The teacher had already sent me a notification in October, but I missed the retake on the 2nd due to negligence. Now, I can only quietly wait for the next opportunity.
In terms of billiards skills, I seem to be getting worse. Every day, when I queue to play, I am always the first to get off the table. It seems I need to find some instructional videos on Douyin to improve my skills. Despite my poor technique, my love for billiards remains unchanged.
The good news is that my sister's visa has finally been approved, and she can start her study abroad journey. This is the result of her hard work for more than half a year, and the family is very happy for her.
Online, I saw canned tea, and considering that I don't plan to use the stove this year, I decided to buy an electric stove to brew tea. During the selection process, I encountered a dilemma: the ones I liked were too expensive, and the cheap ones were not appealing. In the end, I chose a reasonably priced electric stove, and so far, the user experience has been quite good.
On Douyin, I watched videos about the motorcycle ban in Shenzhen and deeply felt the power of knowledge.
At the end of November, the first snow of winter arrived. To better control the indoor temperature, I bought a temperature and humidity meter for my room. The temperature in the room is only around fifteen or sixteen degrees, and sometimes my feet get cold. When I called the landlord, he even suspected that the thermometer was broken. But I can still tell whether it's cold or not.
Work#
This month, the county provided us with a fire motorcycle, but I feel it is not practical. It starts up slowly and can only be operated by one person, making it more suitable for summer use. Considering the fuel issue, I suspect it may forever remain in the warehouse.
At the end of the month, I went to the city for training, which was quite boring. The training lasted two days, one of which took up Saturday. To be honest, I didn't want to attend and thought about having a colleague cover for me, but when I heard that there would be a meeting on Saturday, no one was willing to go.
Blog#
For the blog theme, I ultimately chose a simple theme. Although the Robin theme is powerful, I find it too bulky, and the style is not to my liking.
On the Time Memory website, I accidentally discovered the previous style of the blog, and while browsing slowly, I found that some articles seemed to be missing. This made me realize that some content might have been lost during the migration process. It seems that backups are indeed very important.
