Self-reflection and Thoughts on Independent Blogging

Recently, I saw Brother Yayu's "15 Questions for Self-Reflection on Independent Blogging," and many bloggers have shared their answers. I also take this opportunity to reflect on my blogging journey.

  1. What is the frequency of blog updates? The update frequency is not very stable; when laziness strikes, I might not update for several months. But in recent weeks, I've been updating frequently, sometimes even several posts a day.

  2. When was the last update of the blog? Last week. Since August, I have maintained a relatively high update frequency.

  3. Are the blog articles original? Most articles are original, but sometimes I also use co-created code or tutorials to help complete some technical content. After all, if it doesn't give me the code, I can't write it down.

  4. Are the articles helpful to others? They might have some significance. Although some articles are self-records, I believe they may also inspire certain readers.

  5. When was the last time you changed the blog theme? This question is easy for me to answer—just a couple of days ago! Changing themes is as routine for me as daily activities, with a record of changing ten times in a week.

  6. When was the last time you tinkered with the blog code? I just messed around until midnight yesterday, often exploring the code, and sometimes when I can't express myself clearly, I have trouble communicating with GPT (laughs).

  7. Will you do secondary development? Yes, although the theme settings are for convenience, I still can't help but add some personal style, like changing fonts. I must use Xialu Wenkai every time I change themes.

  8. How often do you indulge in your blog? I check it several times almost every day, especially to look at traffic, although most of the PVs might be from my own visits.

  9. What are your recent thoughts on the blog domain name? I don't have any thoughts on the domain name at the moment; although the blog's theme and program often change, the domain name has remained stable.

  10. Do you check website traffic statistics every day? Yes, I check several times a day, especially before bed to see the sources of visitors. I use Baidu Statistics, which is very convenient.

  11. Have you made money through blogging? No, I refuse advertisements. Ads really affect the reading experience, so I prefer to keep a clean interface.

  12. Why do you browse other people's blogs? Mainly to learn from their design and layout; I always feel that others' blogs are better than mine, which is one reason I frequently change themes.

  13. What is your first reaction when you see articles shared by others? First, I pay attention to the website's loading speed, especially the effect of lazy loading images; it really is a smooth experience.

  14. What aspect of blogging do you think is more important? Both content and theme are very important; both are indispensable, after all, I want to have both fish and bear's paw.

  15. What new gains have you had from blogging? I have indeed learned a lot of new knowledge, and my understanding has improved. Many things I didn't understand before I now do, and I even have more confidence technically.
